BUYING GUIDE / FORMATS, COSTS & FIT
Choosing 4-, 6- or 8-pack can rings
Compare 4-, 6- and 8-pack can carriers: 500 rings per box, CAD pricing, cans packed per box, standard vs skinny cans and Hard Flat Rings equipment fit.
How do I choose the right can rings?
Start with your can format, then your retail pack size, then your application head. Hard Flat Rings come in black 4-, 6- and 8-pack layouts. Standard-can rings are available; the smaller skinny-can collection is coming soon.
Compare pack sizes and cost per ring
| Pack | Rings/box | Cans packed/box | Box price | Cost/ring | Product details |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4-pack | 500 | 2,000 | CAD $85 | CAD $0.17 | Standard / Skinny (coming soon) |
| 6-pack | 500 | 3,000 | CAD $125 | CAD $0.25 | Standard / Skinny (coming soon) |
| 8-pack | 500 | 4,000 | CAD $165 | CAD $0.33 | Standard / Skinny (coming soon) |
One ring makes one finished multipack. For example, a box of 500 six-pack rings packs 3,000 cans into 500 six-packs. These calculations describe packaging capacity; cans are not included.
Standard cans or skinny cans?
Use the carrier designed for your can format. Skinny-can rings are smaller than the standard formats and have the same box quantities and prices. Can volume alone does not establish fit: confirm the rim dimensions and matching application head. Final skinny-ring dimensions and compatibility will be confirmed at launch.
Will these work on a Hard Flat Rings application machine?
Yes, this style uses the Hard Flat Rings application system. Choose the Hard Flat Rings configuration for a manual machine or use its matching conversion kit. Pneumatic equipment needs the corresponding head. The automated option is the Hard Flat Rings applicator. Compare the equipment and demonstrations.
How many boxes do I need?
Divide the number of finished multipacks you need by 500, then round up to a whole box. For a 2,400-can run in six-packs: 2,400 ÷ 6 = 400 multipacks, so one 500-ring box covers the run with 100 rings remaining. Plan any setup allowance separately.
What should I send for a fit check?
- Can brand or dimensions, including the top rim, and whether it is standard or skinny.
- The finished pack layout: four, six or eight cans.
- Your machine model and current application head, if you already have equipment.
Ask the team about fit before committing to a production setup. For delivery and currency, see ordering in Canada and the US.
